The Comet Ultra is a true bariatric mobility scooter launched by the trusted brand Invacare. It has been completely re-engineered from its successful predecessor, the Comet HD. This scooter stands out from the competition and offers the user a greater choice in how their scooter is configured to suit their needs and preferences over other models in this category.
There is an all new suspension system, designed to maximise the level of comfort you experience on your journey. The steering on this new machine feels more responsive due to the level of adjustment available in positioning the improved angled Delta tiller. Also, the premium Captain seat can be positioned to suit your requirements and has been redesigned for maximum performance and comfort. The seat is 26" wide and has built in pneumatic lumbar support for added comfort and support.
The tiller is easy to navigate as the controls are clear and simple with a bright LED display to show you all the information you need. The indicators, horn and speed controls are easily reached and clearly marked. You can even press a button to limit the scooter's speed to 4 mph when being used on a pavement.
This mobility scooter brings a wealth of features as standard equipment and offers high levels of safety as well. The Easy Drive direction stability should keep you in a straight line at higher speeds and there is an Auto-speed reduction sensor to slow you down automatically should you attempt to turn into a bend or corner too quickly. The automatic brake lights also warn those around you that you are slowing down or stopping.
Although this scooter can carry an almost class leading maximum user weight of 34.5 stone, the large, 75 a/h batteries and smooth, powerful motor can take you on a journey up to a maximum of 36 miles between charges, (depending on user weight) ensuring you will get to further destinations. As part of the heavy duty set up on this scooter it is only supplied with puncture proof tyres.
There is vast range of colours available and the options list is extensive. This will enable you to personalise your scooter to your personal needs and taste.
(Please note, where rear mounted accessories are chosen only ONE can be fitted at a time)
