This is the Heavy Duty Battery Version of the Scout lightweight mobility scooter from Drive Medical called the Scout Venture. It has all of the features we have come to expect from a a lightweight transportable model, along with a few extras. This Venture version has larger 20 amp batteries to increase the scooters range up to a maximum of 13 miles.
For a lightweight scooter, the Venture is very robust. It is capable of comfortably carrying a user up to 20 stone in weight. Designed to incorporate the new Drive splitting mechanism, this scooter easily separates into 5 convenient parts for transportation and storage as shown in the illustrative picture. There is a comfortable padded seat that is height adjustable without using tools, and the width of the armrests can be easily adjusted to suit you.
The controls are clear and easy to use, and set around a comfortable delta bar tiller as standard. This type of tiller is much easier to use for any one that has problems with their hands such as arthritis, and is a chargeable extra on some portable scooters. The batteries can be charged on or off the scooter for your convenience, and the front storage basket can be removed easily. All in all, this is a great value, lightweight portable scooter.
