The Alumina mobility scooter from Motion Healthcare uses lightweight technology to bring you a more manageable mobility solution than some other more traditional manufacturers. The Lithium-ion battery is airline approved, making this model an ideal choice for holidays abroad or cruises.
Using lightweight, but strong materials, the Alumina is easily taken apart for transportation or storage, yet the heaviest section once dismantled only weighs an astonishing 22lbs. The advanced, Lithium-ion battery pack weighs in at just 9lbs (standard) and can be removed from the scooter and taken indoors to be charged when required. The standard battery can carry a user of up to 21 stones a maximum of 15 miles between charges, class leading for a scooter of this type. If you need greater range, there is the Alumina Pro (available as an optional upgrade) which has twice the battery capacity and a potential maximum range of 30 miles between charges.N
New upgrades have been added to this model to include: Softer compound tyres for improved ride quality, a front headlight in the tiller, a high level charging point on the tiller, upgraded battery indicator and display, improved suspension and shock absorbers and a simplified splitting mechanism, making the Alumina easier to take apart to go in the car.
For a compact, transportable model, the Alumina has great levels of comfort due to the all round suspension system. The controls are clear and simple to operate in both forward and reverse. Additions, Insurance and Warranty:
Accompanied Delivery
All of our major products are available with an "Accompanied Delivery". This means that your new mobility product will be delivered to your door and assembled, or be assembled and checked here prior to delivery. The delivery person will go through the operations of the mobility product and show you how to use it, store it and even to charge it when required. Our staff will ensure that you are entirely comfortable with your mobility product before they leave and all of the packaging will be disposed of for you. The cost for this service is £95.00 and it can be selected in the checkout when placing your order (This service is only available to Mainland UK addresses))
Standard Delivery from Mobility Scooters Plus
If you are happy with your choice of mobility product and don't feel that you need someone to go through it all with you, you can opt for a "standard delivery". With the standard delivery option, included in the price you will still have the mobility product delivered to your door but it will be sent by one of our professional carriers. You will need to be able to un-box the product yourself and dispose of the packaging. Please remember there may be some self assembly involved. The majority of our power products arrive on a pallet, so you will have to dispose of that as well. Don't forget, we are always available on the telephone to help if you get stuck!
Returns policy
We very much hope that you will love your new mobility product and get many years of pleasure and service from it. However, if for any reason you wish to return your product to us you can do so within fourteen days of receipt of delivery, as per the distance selling regulations. The product should be in "as new" condition and in its original packaging. The customer is responsible for the return carriage costs (unless the item is being returned due to a fault) Collection can be arranged if required, just contact us on 01572 720699.
All of our new power products are UK supplied and come with a complete warranty in the same way that you would receive a warranty if you bought a product from a traditional retail shop.
All of our new power products have at least a 1-year parts warranty and some of our larger items have even longer (please call for further details). In addition to this, we include a free 1-year home call out promise. This means that if you experience any technical problems, which cannot be solved by other methods, we will send an engineer to your home, free of charge, to fix the problem.
After this 1-year period, we will still make an engineer available to you should you need one but the cost will be borne by the customer.
Please note that all "Pre-owned" power products come with 3 months parts and labour warranty, and home engineer call out.
